Bat Kol Institute has assembled an experienced group of lecturers, combining recognized scholarship and international teaching experience in a number of accredited universities around the world.

Marmur, Rabbi Dow
Senior Rabbi of Holy Blossom Temple, Toronto, now Rabbi Emeritus. Author of many books and articles in Jewish and non-Jewish publications in Britain, Canada and elsewhere. His memoir, “Six Lives”, was published in the Fall of 2004. Writes columns in The Canadian Jewish News, Toronto Star.
A senior faculty member at the Pardes Institute for Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, Judy Klitsner lectures to diverse, multi-denominational audiences in Israel, the U.S., and Europe and is the author of the award-winning book, Subversive Sequels in the Bible: How Biblical Stories Mine and Undermine Each Other (Jewish Publication Society, Koren Pub. paperback). Roth, Daniel PhD
Daniel Roth is a member of the Faculty of the Pardes Center for Judaism and Conflict Resolution. He teaches advanced rabbinics, Bible, conflict resolution and other subjects . Daniel is also a lecturer at Bar Ilan’s Program for Conflict Resolution, a senior research fellow at George Mason University’s Center for World Religions, Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution and an Israeli certified court mediator. He holds a MA in Talmud from Hebrew University, a B.Ed in Jewish Philosophy and Talmud from Herzog Teachers’ College, and studied for eight years in Yeshivat Har-Etzion, during which time he received rabbinic ordination.
Frankel, Rabbi Dr David
David Frankel has served since 1992 as a senior lecturer in Bible at the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies. He did his PhD at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem under the direction of Prof. Moshe Weinfeld. His publications include The Murmuring Stories of the Priestly School and The Land of Canaan and the Destiny of Israel.
Harvey, Prof. Zeev
Professor Emeritus of Jewish Thought, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Zeev Harvey has authored many publications , his main research interests are Philosophy of Crescas, Maimonidean philosophy, Spinoza, Hobbes.
Zornberg, Dr Avivah
Avivah Zornberg holds a BA and PhD in English Literature from Cambridge University. After teaching English literature at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, she turned to teaching Torah. For the past thirty years, she has taught Torah in Jerusalem at Matan, Yakar, Pardes and the Jerusalem College for Adults. Dr. Zornberg also holds a Visiting Lectureship at the London School of Jewish Studies. She travels widely, lecturing in Jewish, academic and psychoanalytic settings. Author of many publications, her most recent book is ‘Moses: A human life’.
Bahat, Prof. Dan BA, MA, PhD
Former Chief Archeologist of Jerusalem, has conducted many digs in Israel and written several archaeology books. Prof. Bahat is Vice-Chair of the Management Committee of Bat Kol Institute.
Fritz, Prof./Sr Maureena, NDS, BA, BEd, MA, PhD
Prof Emerita Faculty of Theology, U. of St Michael ’s College, U of Toronto. CEO of the Bat Kol Institute. She serves as Chair of Bat Kol Institute's Management Committee.
Goldfarb, Jared, BA
Studied at Brandeis University, Machon Pardes, the Hartman Institute and Israel's national tour guide course.
Israeli, Sarah BA, MA
A senior instructor of Hebrew at Hebrew University, Jerusalem, international teacher and writer of a number of Hebrew text books.
Lapian, Esther, MA
Teacher and teacher educator in the field of Bible studies and teaching of Jewish texts.
Lenk, Dr. Marcie BA, MS, MTS, PhD
A research fellow, team member iEngage Project, co-director of New Paths:Christians Engaging Israel, and director of Christian Leadership Initiative at the Shalom Hartman Institute.
Marmur, Rabbi Dr Michael BA, MA, PhD
He was Dean of Hebrew Union College for ten years.Since July 2009 is Vice-President for Academic Affairs with responsibility for all four college campuses: Jerusalem, Cincinnati, New York and California. He is also a member of Bat Kol's Management Committee.
Passeto, Br Elio NDS MA in Jewish studies (Hebrew University)
Br Elio was Vice-Director of Ratisbonne Pontifical Institute, Jerusalem 1995-2002. He teaches courses on early Christianity and Rabbinic Judaism in Israel and world wide.
Silverstein, Rabbi Mordechai MA
He is founder/teacher at Conservative Yeshiva, Jerusalem, has done advanced studies inTalmud at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Writes a popular weekly internet Haftarah.
Verbin, Dr Hami BA, MA, PhD
A Senior Lecturer at the Philosophy department and Head of Religious Studies Program at Tel Aviv University. Author, currently working on a manuscript on divine providence, exploring concept in Maimonides, Kierkegaard and Weil. She is a member of Bat Kol's Management Committee.
Weiman-Kelman, Rabbi Levi BA,MHL
Founded Congregation Kol HaNeshama in 1985. Teaches prayer and liturgy at Hebrew Union College and Schechter Rabbinic Seminary. Member of Rabbis for Human Rights, is Vice Chair of ICCI and lectures internationally.
